Ditmas Park West Neighborhood Association (DPWNA)
Established in 1969 by a group of dedicated neighbors, the Ditmas Park West Neighborhood Association has been fostering community spirit for six decades.
Through a range of engaging initiatives, the association strives to strengthen bonds among residents and create a vibrant community atmosphere.
Association-sponsored events such as the Arbor Day Tree Planting, Neighborhood Clean-ups, Progressive Dinner, Neighborhood-wide Block Parties, and Tag/Sidewalk Sales are held regularly, offering residents opportunities to connect and celebrate their shared neighborhood.
Notably, since 1978, Ditmas Park West residents have planted over 250 of the street trees that line the leafy streets of our community.
Where is Ditmas Park West?
Ditmas Park West in in the heart of Flatbush, Brooklyn and spans from the south side of Cortelyou Road to the north, the north side of Newkirk Avenue to the south, Coney Island Avenue to the west and Marlborough Road to the east. The neighborhood is in City Council District 40, within New York City Police Department’s 70th Precinct and is part of Brooklyn Community District 14.
